What to expect
What happens at your first visit
A first appointment here is straightforward. This page walks through the whole thing, from the phone call to the follow-up, so nothing about the visit is a surprise.

Step by step
- 1
Before you come in
Call (917) 801-0954 and tell the front desk what the visit is for. If you have records, lab results or a form from a school, employer or program, mention it on the phone so we can plan the time you need.
- 2
Finding the office
We are at 1301 Southern Boulevard, 2nd Floor, Bronx, NY 10459. Look for the yellow NorthPoint sign on Southern Boulevard — the entrance is right below it, and the practice is on the second floor.
- 3
Getting here
The 2 and 5 trains stop at Freeman Street, a short walk away. Several bus routes run along Southern Boulevard.
- 4
Checking in
Give your name at the front desk and hand over your ID and insurance card. New patients fill out a short intake form — our staff will go through it with you in English or Spanish if you prefer.
- 5
Your time with the doctor
A staff member takes your vitals, then you see Dr. Albert Slezinger or Dr. Anele Slezinger. Bring your questions — this is the part of the visit they are for.
- 6
After the visit
Prescriptions go to your pharmacy, referrals are arranged, and any testing done here is explained to you. If results come back later, the office calls you.
